## Sovryn’s Year in Review: Celebrating Milestones and Setting the Stage for the Future

As the year drew to a close, Community Call #60 provided a moment for reflection and forward-looking vision. The Sovryn team took the opportunity to recap the major accomplishments of the past year and to outline the strategic priorities that will guide the project into the new year.

### A Year of Foundational Building

The presentation highlighted that the past year was largely focused on building the foundational pillars of the Sovryn ecosystem. Despite challenging market conditions, development continued at a rapid pace. Key milestones celebrated included:

* **Launch of Major Primitives:** The successful testnet and beta launches of critical new products like the Zero protocol and perpetual swaps.
* **Security Fortification:** The completion of major security audits and the continuous improvement of the protocol’s security posture.
* **Governance Milestones:** Significant progress on the path to decentralization with the planning and development of Bitocracy 3.0.
* **Building ‘Connective Tissue’:** The successful integration with cross-chain aggregators like Rango Exchange, making Sovryn more accessible to the wider DeFi community.
* **Team and Community Growth:** The continued growth and resilience of the core contributor team and the broader Sovryn community.

### Looking Ahead: The Year of Adoption

While the past year was about building, the team declared that the upcoming year will be the **’Year of Adoption’**. With the core technical foundations now largely in place, the strategic focus will shift towards growth, user acquisition, and establishing Sovryn as the go-to platform for Bitcoin DeFi.

Key strategic priorities for the new year include:

1. **Full Public Launches:** Moving all products out of beta and into full, general-release versions, including the Zero protocol and the new user interface.
2. **Driving DLLR Adoption:** A major push to integrate the Sovryn Dollar (DLLR) into wallets, exchanges, and other DeFi protocols to establish it as a leading Bitcoin-backed stablecoin.
3. **Accelerating the Builder Program:** Ramping up the ecosystem grants program to attract more developers and foster a vibrant ecosystem of third-party applications.
4. **Targeted Marketing and Growth Campaigns:** Launching data-driven marketing campaigns to attract new users and increase the protocol’s total value locked (TVL).

The session concluded on a high note of optimism, celebrating the resilience shown throughout the bear market and looking forward to a year of significant growth and expansion.
